The Mach1 HV is a much more responsive ski boot than the old HV; not just because it's a more precise fit through the ankle, but because it is a much better plastic and better-designed shell -- based off the Mach1 MV. For this season Tecnica has introduced an updated "T-Drive" in the spine of the boot to increase responsiveness and improve power transfer throughout the flex pattern. Just like the rest of the Mach series boots, the HV 130 has a great out-of-the-box fit, it's really great to do custom work on, and is easy to punch. So if 103 mm in the forefoot isn't enough, a good boot shop will be able to get that dialed in for ya. Even though this is a Higher Volume boot, don't let that fool you, this is a very powerful 130 flex ski boot. Capable of steering any ski you'd like and the liner is precise and offers great heel hold for a high-volume fit. Tecnica has done a great job building a high-volume boot with an incredible performance level that you generally only find in lower-volume fits
